Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami addressed a huge public meeting in the Nari Shakti Mahotsav program at Rishikul Maidan, Haridwar on Monday. On this occasion, he inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of 158 development schemes worth Rs 1168 crore for Haridwar district. The Chief Minister announced that a police station will be built at the site of Vanbhulpura encroachment
The Chief Minister today laid the foundation stone of the approved project of Rs 523 crore with the help of German Bank for strengthening the entire sewerage system of the urban area of Haridwar, drinking water system in rural and urban areas, development of tourist places, parking system and other works. With these schemes, other areas including Haripur Kalan, Bhupatwala, Bhimgoda, Harki Paidi, Mayapur, Kankhal, Rishikul, Jwalapur, Awas Vikas Colony, Govindpuri, Jagjitpur will get relief from the problems of drinking water, parking etc. along with sewerage.
The foundation stone of various development and construction schemes worth Rs 57.98 crore funded by the authority in Haridwar district was laid today by the Honorable Chief Minister of Uttarakhand.Various approved schemes of Haridwar Roorkee Development Authority include beautification on Kavad track in Haridwar, construction and development work of Asaf Nagar mixed residential project, construction and development work of grand welcome gate scheme at state border Narsan, Bhalla playground for day and night games in Haridwar.

Addressing the gathering organized after the road show organized in Haridwar, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said that the backbone of any society or state are its strong women. If the women power of a state is progressing then the development of that state is assured. . The women of the state had a special contribution in the formation of the state of Uttarakhand. He said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, many efforts have been made to raise the standard of living of women.

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami praised the Haridwar district administration for starting the dream project Tara to develop the Anganwadi centers and empower the children of the future mentally and physically. Under this project, 150 Anganwadi centers are being made modern and technologically rich, each Anganwadi center is being provided with smart TV, furniture and toys for children and Anganwadi workers are being given detailed training on the new National Education Policy system. 3000 children and 300 Anganwadi workers of Anganwadi centers are being directly benefited by the project
Before the Nari Shakti Mahotsav program, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami participated in the grand road show organized from Devpura Chowk to Rishikul Maidan and accepted the greetings of mother power and the huge group of people.
On this occasion, the Chief Minister visited the stalls of Project Tara, a scheme for rejuvenating Anganwadi centres, cooperative scheme for promoting honey production under One District Two Project – Meethi Ganga, milk production, Goat Valley Scheme, Mati Kala etc. and in this A glimpse of the ongoing efforts in the areaPraised.Emphasizing on promoting tradition on this occasion, he not only made earthen pots on a potter’s wheel but also ground chutney on a cob. Apart from these, Agriculture, Horticulture, Animal Husbandry, Dairy, Fisheries, Silk, Cap, Cooperative, Sugarcane, National Rural Livelihood Mission, Reap Project, Women and Child Development, Social Welfare, Medical, Industry, Lead Bank, NABARD, Agricultural Science will be held at the program venue. Various schemes of 21 departments including Centre, Disaster Management, Education, UREDA30 informational stalls were set up.The program was also addressed by former Chief Minister of Uttarakhand, former Education Minister, Government of India and Haridwar MP Dr. Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank, Rajya Sabha MP Naresh Bansal, Kalpana Saini, former Cabinet Minister and Haridwar Nagar MLA Madan Kaushik.
